Ensign-Bickford announces new CEO, Robert J. Lepofsky

Massachusetts based technology leader takes helm at 168 year-old privately-held company

Simsbury CT, December 20, 2004 -- Robert J. Lepofsky has been named the CEO and President of Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. (EBI) effective January 1, 2005. The position was recently vacated when Ralph H. Harnett retired on October 1, 2004.

Mr. Lepofsky joins EBI following his announced retirement from Helix Technology Corporation in Mansfied, MA. He has served as President of Helix Technology Corporation since 1987 and as Chief Executive Officer since 1989. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer as well as Senior Vice President. EBI Chairman, Joseph E. Lovejoy stated that,"Bob brings a wealth of experience with his extensive development, marketing and manufacturing background in semiconductor, data storage, and flat panel display markets. Additionally, EBI has known Bob since 1995 as an EBI Board member."
